Why, oh why do I always scrub the kitchen to within an inch of it's life and then cook dinner? Why don't I ever cook dinner and then clean the kitchen to within an inch of it's life so I can enjoy it for a while? I'm an idiot.
I used to do that- Hummm, I don't know why we women do that. Good idea though- you have there- cook, then clean kitchen floor to within an inch of your life, so you can enjoy it a while!!!
My ex-husband always knew when I was going to baste a quilt because that's about the only time I cleaned the kitchen floor (And I always cleaned the bathtub when we were under a tornado watch.). Now, that's not to say that our floor was filthy the rest of the time. My mother taught me to always clean up my messes the minute I make them so whenever I drop or spill something on the floor I quit what I'm doing and clean it up right now. I don't remember the last time I mopped the kitchen floor in this house. I don't baste quilts on the floor anymore. Good thing Ken mops.
What is sad...for me....is that I read this earlier on and smiled...AND then went and did the exact same thing without realizing it! LOL...and I didnt just cook, I also baked some bread! :)
I am dyslexic. Its my excuse and I am sticking to it! :p
