Ah, but the beautiful thing about a dishwasher is that you can run it over, and over, and over.......even if there are only two or three big things in there!
The chef's knife or the utility knife? That particular chef's knife is my favorite. I've got another with a curved blade but it doesn't compare to that one.
I get a new knife every Christmas (They're so damn expensive!). This year I requested a boning knife. You can save a ton of money taking apart your own chickens instead of buying them already cut up.
