Things On Tuesday
Loathes:
- My vegetable garden. I wish it would just freeze already and put that poor pathetic thing out of it's misery. Anything that could go wrong with it has x 10.
- Having to nag to make sure Halloween projects stay on schedule but nagging comes with the "It's my responsibility to make sure things stay on schedule" job title so I don't have much choice.
- The Senate Hearings. I watched all morning and it scares the hell out of me. Though, thanks to TJ, I understand what I'm listening to now (things like short selling and naked short selling which has nothing at all to do with underpants)..Not sure if that's a good thing or not. He gives a fantastic understandable breakdown of it here.
Loves:
- That DeWitte and Nathan will eat just about anything. I made chicken and wild rice soup for dinner last night, only I used way too much rice. It turned out to be more like chicken porridge. Not only did they eat it, they liked it and asked for seconds.
- Nathan's inclusion class. I was really worried that it would be too easy because of the kids that need extra help. It's not. They blow through the stuff they have to do and then when the kids that need the extra help get it, the rest of the class can explore whatever subjects that interest them. Right now, Nathan's into science and comes home every night all excited with a new experiment to try.
- My neighborhood. I just had a guy come to the door and try to sell me meat out of a cooler in the back of his pick-up truck. I know when I think of quality meat, I'd never think of a butcher shop but the back of a beat up pick-up truck, instead. I told him no and sicced him on the neighbors because I'm nice like that.
- Halloween! Now that DeWitte's replaced his stupid bike he can think about something else, like getting back to work already. If he doesn't build it, I can't paint it and I've already got my designs drawn out.
- That when I sit on the front porch to wait for the school bus, the air smells like autumn and bubble gum. I don't know why it smells like bubble gum but I'll take it.

Yay for Nathan's liking science!
I'm trying to get my office to let us wear costumes this year because 'ween's on a friday....so far they've said "No" But I've been all "COME ON! You know you want Wonder Woman to greet your clients for a day. you know it!" *sigh* Damn straight laced accountants!
Ooh, you've got me craving chicken wild rice soup too. It's all stormy right now and a bowl of soup sounds darn good.
Yay for science!
