Things On Tuedays On Wednesday
Because I'm always a day late and a dollar short.
Loathes..
Stores that have signs outside proclaiming them "Halloween Headquarters", when in fact, they are greeting card stores with one or two cutsie witch statuettes. I think I should be able to reserve the right to burn them down for wasting my time.
That when the power flashes off for .0000000000001 of a second my computer shuts off while I'm finishing up a blog post.
This bail out thing. I feel like somebody kicked me in the stomach, mostly because we live within our means, own a house we can afford, pay our bills on time, aren't part of the "problem". However, I don't want to end up owing money to my 401 instead of it owing money to me..I wish they'd just get it over with.
Walking through a black walnut mine field in pitch dark. You never know if you're gonna trip on one and break your leg or have one fall on your head and break that. I use one to walk with and the other to think with, so they're both pretty important to me. It's not even our tree.
That it's October and I've got so much work to do.
Loves..
Hitting black walnuts over the fence, back into to the neighbors yard, with a baseball bat. It's pretty much the only sport I enjoy.
Looking forward to the debate tomorrow night..as long as Biden doesn't say anything stupid (Everybody knows that James Polk didn't go online to tell the American people that we were giving Polio laden blankets to the Indians.)
Halloween!
1. Poor DeWitte. His latest project, the vortex room, is giving him a lot of grief. I'm thankful he hasn't thrown in the towel, though and when he finally makes it work, it'll be spectacular.
2. Poor DeWitte again. He has to go through this grief with Nathan "helping" him, which means trying to think with Nathan talking at him a million miles a min. (Have I ever mentioned Nathan talks alot?)
3. That Nathan's outside in the garage helping DeWitte and not in the house talking at me a million miles a min, while I'm trying to think.
4. Nathan. I love his enthusiasm, even if he does talk a lot. If you listened to him, you'd think I was Rembrandt and DeWitte was Da Vinci, but then, his world view is pretty narrow at this point.
5. That my "Sinster Scents" came yesterday. I got cotton candy and popcorn, which fits in beautifully with my Carnevil theme and adds another depth to the maze. I've covered all the major senses besides taste...I already do all this stuff for free..I'm not gonna feed them, too. (The people that come, not the people that work, I feed them for sure, because they work hard for free, too.)
6. That my own halloween projects are coming along nicely. No grief for me.
7. How the front of the Jack-In-The-Box turned out. It's 2 1/2' by 3 1/2' so it was no small project.
8. How the JITB looks under a cheap black light..I can't wait to see it under a good one. (It you read this, Pree, your mask looks fantastic under the black light, too...you're rooms gonna rock! And pop..note to self, order balloons.)
9. That I've got so much work to do. It's fun being this busy with such creative projects..and with that, I'd better get back to work.

Halloween sounds so great at your house, wish we lived closer!
I hear you on the talking, I keep hearing all these new parents LONGING for their children to start talking and I laugh.
I'm sooo impressed with your talents!
