QotD: First Celebrity Crush

If you didn't get up to change the channel for Dad, we wouldn't have been good parents. You had to get exercise and we were just being helpful. Besides, how else would the channel get changed?

We had a black and white set when I was little. It had this big dial on the top so we could watch CBS, NBC, or ABC. Sadly, this isn't a joke. Now we can't find anything to watch on over 200 channels.

Leif Garrett - I remember him as a guest either on CHiPs or The Six Million Dollar Man. I think it was Chips, because he was so drunk that when the car wrecked, it didn't kill him. So I think that was more Chips.

And I thought John Travolta was the Boy in the Plastic Bubble... I need to check my facts. I don't look like any of these guys... you must have found solace in my Wisdom, Intelligence, and Constitution points.

Yup, getting up to change the channel for dear ol' Dad. Mom just watched whatever Dad wanted to watch. I hated it because I not only had to change the channel, but also wait for him to watch a little bit of each channel all the way around the dial then say, "Ok, go back to channel 13".

Now I need to go point my sister, Marlen, in your direction. She loved Shaun Cassidy. I vividly remember her dancing around our basement to "Da Doo Ron Ron" in her Shaun Cassidy nightshirt.

Kids as remote controls, yes I remember being that. we only had 3 channels though. I always remember trying to find Gunsmoke for my father. I heard that the co-inventor of the remote contol recently died.. in his 90s I think.

My sister liked David Cassidy....When he sang "I think I love you" I know he wasn't singing about her.

[this is good]
Why is John Travolta still that dang fine?
