HoneyComb Cellular Shades?
I know you're probably tired of this subject, but it's Sunday night and
nobodies gonna read it anyway. I gotta tell you, this last project intimidated
the hell out of me. Unlike any project we've done anywhere in this house, if
something went wrong with this one and we couldn't get it done in one day, what
where we gonna do? Hire sentries to guard the gaping hole in the side of the
house over night so that nobody looks at it and thinks "Oh, free
stuff!"?
DeWitte did most of the work on this one. I just told him what had to be done next and did so much measuring weirdo angles that at one point my brain exploded all over the laundry room. DeWitte said he was glad it wasn't him and after we cleaned up the bloody mess, I finished measuring weirdo angles until I was confused and just couldn't think anymore.
We only had one argument the entire time. It wasn't even a real argument. (Even if you never argue in your day to day life, a stressful situation will bring it out of you. We don't argue very often but when we do, you can almost bet there's stress involved.) DeWitte wanted me to see if the door was level from top to bottom but didn't say that. He just kept saying "Turn the level" and I'd turn the level and he's say "Not that way". Well, the honeymoons been over for years and we don't say things like "No, honey" between clenched teeth anymore. Now it's more like "You don't like the way I'm doing this? Then get off your butt and come do it yourself!" Only, you know the other person's not gonna do that because if they cared that much they'd be doing it themselves in the first place. Then the other person will shrug and leave you alone to do it how you want. We make a great team that way.

I think I've finally figured out this window covering thing. I found this
picture and like the way it looks. Now, I've just got
to find some that when I
look at the price I don't laugh out loud. They aren't cheap but I'm sure if I
shop around I can find some within my price range. The only other option seems
to be blinds and let me tell you...I hate blinds. Vertical or horizontal, I
don't like the way they look so it looks like it's honey combed shades for me.

they're ex pen sive.........
on the second point, that's why the distributors always insist on coming out and doing the measurements for you.
but if you can save with a warehouse deal........but they're still ex pen sive.
oh, and they have to be professionally cleaned.
snoringkatz makes a mean bedsheet curtain. she'll even bring her own staple gun. measuring optional.
I didn't know they needed to be professionally cleaned....I might need to think some more, I never get anything professionally cleaned. I'm lucky anything gets cleaned as it is. Yesterday I was wondering if I could go to Home Depot and get a couple of day laborers to come clean up this pig sty (Nathan's had free reign for over a week.. If only he could clean it up as efficiently as he messes it up!) and chop the vegetables I was chopping so that I could get back to work.
I'm very glad that you got it done, though and don't have to worry about it. It looks great. I'm very impressed with all of the work that you and DeWitte have been doing!
