HoneyComb Cellular Shades?

Comments

I like the way they look, but there's something about that business of moving the window covering up so that I can move the door sideways that strikes me as wrong. Dunno why. Just seems wrong. But they are pretty.
I think those are purdy! But I know what you mean about the measuring for shades, blinds what have you. I don't know why I don't get it, but I apparently DO NOT GET IT. It's REALLY bad when you order blinds for the office and you measure wrong!! That ain't even my money! OOPS! *scurries and hides around the corner so the boss can't find me* This actually happened years ago, but I'm still paranoid about it! GOOD LUCK! And you might want to share this story with DeWitte and say, "if I mess up the measurements and then they come and they're wrong, you will NOT be happy, right? So PLEASE help me double check so neither of us has to kill each other. Okay? Fine." ;-)

they're ex pen sive.........

on the second point, that's why the distributors always insist on coming out and doing the measurements for you.

but if you can save with a warehouse deal........but they're still ex pen sive.

oh, and they have to be professionally cleaned.

snoringkatz makes a mean bedsheet curtain. she'll even bring her own staple gun. measuring optional.

I know, it's crazy. The only other option was curtains but they'd be so bulky that it would resemble an old movie theater when I was done and I've only got a few inches on each side of the door. I figure the only time it'll be a problem will be at night. I open all the curtains first thing in the morning and close them when it gets dark. Right now I feel like I'm in a fish bowl every time I walk from the living room through the laundry room into the kitchen. I picture neighbors with binoculars checking out what color flannel PJ's I'm wearing. The sliding door thing really isn't making this easy!
Hey...guess what. Our heat wave finally took a leap and we've got your weather right now (minus the rain). It's not gonna be in the 90's all the time anymore. Maybe now my butt and the back thighs will stop breaking out due to the heat. I can hope, right?

I didn't know they needed to be professionally cleaned....I might need to think some more, I never get anything professionally cleaned. I'm lucky anything gets cleaned as it is. Yesterday I was wondering if I could go to Home Depot and get a couple of day laborers to come clean up this pig sty (Nathan's had free reign for over a week.. If only he could clean it up as efficiently as he messes it up!) and chop the vegetables I was chopping so that I could get back to work.
I've never had a gaping hole in the side of my house before, but I have left the garage door open all day and all night and nothing was ever stolen. I live in not such a safe place, too, and that's not hyperbole (click #401 to get a listing of all the crimes in my neighborhood over 3 months).

I'm very glad that you got it done, though and don't have to worry about it. It looks great. I'm very impressed with all of the work that you and DeWitte have been doing!
