Cool Tip..

Oh man! I always crack mine on the table and they're always a shattered mess! :(
Now I've got to try that. I'll try, but I still see disaster.
Holy cow! I've never seen that. All the Cooking Shows (capital C, capital S) only tell you to crack them on the side of a separate, smaller bowl. I'm going to try that the next time! Very cool, thanks for the photo instructions too!
I MUST try this!
That's cool! I'm definitely going to try this (as I am in that category of messy egg breakers).
Whenever I do that, the egg shell smashes in the same way as on the side of the bowl, and I also have egg on my counter. Nathan must have some sort of magic touch.
Bailey's an egg-cracking hog too, and I'm going to have her try this because she often makes a mess. I have to admit that I didn't know that they were recommending to not use the big part of the eggshell to scoop out the little parts. But I have thought about the cross-contamination thing. I just always figured that any gross little buggers that got in there would die when you cooked the eggs, just like the Salmonella does.
Am I the only one around here who does the devil-may-care one-handed crack???

And just what is it that Nathan makes from eggs, coffee mate, salt, pepper, and tabby cat?
He was making scrambled eggs today. Yeah, he used creamer, I was out of milk. The tabby cat was just a spectator. I don't even think he got any eggs.

I can do the one handed crack when I actually get a chance to crack an egg. It's been so long, though, I might have lost my touch by now.
You gotta be kidding me. How is that possible? He is the wonder child.
I tried it today. The first time, it made a mess. The second time, I used a lighter touch and tap..it made a line and worked perfectly. But then I broke the yolk when I just needed the white..if it's not one thing, it's another.
Yeah..he's a wonder, all right.
